Mechanical Drafting/Design Engineer
Successful, rapidly growing high technology manufacturer is in need of a Mechanical Drafting/Design Engineer to oversee, organize and assist all drafting/design activities. This position reports to the Engineering Manager and supports, assists, and contributes to the efforts of the engineering, manufacturing, and sales departments.
Qualifications:

  • BS in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university or college
  • Minimum 2 years experience in manufacturing environment preferred, not required
  • Excellent command of 3D CAD program, AutoDesk Inventor preferred
  • Fundamental knowledge of GD&T
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to multi-task
  • Work effectively in a change-oriented environment with the ability to plan, organize, and prioritize tasks
  • Must be a self-starter with initiative, drive and determination
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office software, Access experience a plus

Individual Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with engineers and drafters to create, maintain, and modify drawings in accordance with the company’s Quality Management System
  • Oversee and organize work flow into the drafting group
  • Create and maintain Bills Of Material for all products in the company database
  • Review drawings for consistency and accuracy
  • Design and document jigs and fixtures to support manufacturing and in plant processes
  • Provide drafting support to sales department’s customer inquiries and leads

Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineer
Successful, rapidly growing high technology manufacturer is in need of a Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineer to support, assist, and contribute to the engineering, drafting, manufacturing, and quality departments. This position reports to the Engineering Manager and is responsible for creating and maintaining engineering, production, and quality documentation in accordance with the company’s Quality Management System.
Qualifications:

  • BS in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering from an accredited university or college
  • Minimum 2 years experience in manufacturing environment preferred, not required
  • Excellent command of desktop software packages Microsoft Project and Office Suite
  • Must be a self-starter with initiative, drive and determination
  • Excellent reading, writing, and oral communication skills, technical writing background a plus
  • Work effectively in a change-oriented environment with the ability to plan, organize, and prioritize tasks
  • Electrical experience/background preferred, not required
  • Knowledge of ISO, UL, CE, PED compliances preferred, not required

Individual Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and create engineering documentation including product manuals, production work instructions, bills of materials, and engineering project folders
  • Participate in Manufacturing Quality audits and work closely with colleagues in the engineering, production and quality departments to resolve corrective actions in a timely manner
  • Support engineering and production projects and ensure all engineering and production documentation and drawings are complete, current and stored appropriately in accordance with ISO requirements
  • Maintain a presence on the manufacturing floor and provide a communication link between the production and engineering departments
  • Assist with training of manufacturing personnel

R&D Engineer
Overall Responsibility
The role of the R&D Engineer is to assist with research projects as directed by the R&D Project Engineer. This includes making significant contributions so that R&D projects can be delivered on time and according to plan.
Qualifications:

  • 4 yr. degree in Mechanical Engineering with a concentration in Thermal Dynamics
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Software
  • Min. 2 years exp. in manufacturing environment preferred, not required
  • Excellent Planning and Organizing skills
  • Excellent problem solving, written and verbal communications skills
  • Proficient in planning and control of work in a multi-project, deadline driven environment
  • Good understanding of 3D CAD computer-based design applications and techniques

Individual Responsibilities:

  • Contributes to moving R&D projects to production status by assisting in such things as designing & building prototypes, conducting material research, designing tooling and fixtures, testing, completing documentation, training, creating Imbedded Bill of Materials.
  • Working with the R&D Project Engineer determines priorities for work on assigned projects.
  • Effectively applies company methodology and adheres to project standards.
  • Provides input for engagement reviews and quality assurance procedures.
  • Ensures documents for assigned projects are complete, current, and stored appropriately.
  • Reports on progress, problems and solutions for assigned projects.

Sr. Production Manager
Overall Responsibility:
This position exists to oversee and provide leadership to the manufacturing organization in areas that include, machining of parts, assembly of cryocooler products and final shipping to customers. The incumbent will establish production priorities that drive the overall successful operations of the plant. This position reports to the COO.
Requirements:
The successful candidate must have a minimum of 10 years of experience in manufacturing production including:

  • BS in Manufacturing Technology/Industrial Engineering or related technical discipline. Physical sciences background a plus.
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills.
  • Management experience encompassing production flow, productivity measures, HR and financials.
  • Machine shop experience.
  • Excellent problem solving and project management skills.
  • Microsoft office knowledge.
  • Results driven and self starter.
  • Demonstrated change management skills.
  • Knowledge of six sigma, lean manufacturing and ISO methodologies.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan and establish the production schedule, coordinating product demand with plant capacity, adjusting as necessary.
  • Provides leadership and direction to the production organization through the establishment of goals, best practices and process improvement plans.
  • Collaborate and coordinate efficiently with various departments including sales, customer service, finance and purchasing.
  • Responsible for cost and budget management of human and material resources to effectively meet production demands.
  • Coach, mentor, monitor and review the performance of production managers.
  • Achieves manufacturing excellence by establishing clear communication with production managers to effectively execute the policies and goals of the company
  • Ensures implementation and adherence to health and safety standards.
  • Resolve conflicts through effective problem solving to establish production priorities.
