CRYOSTATS

Beginning in 2005, Cryomech has joined forces with Oxford Instruments Superconductivity to manufacture their Optistat AC-V optical cryostats. The Optistat AC-V (ActivelyCooled™) series are closed cycle systems and only require electricity (and cooling water for the water cooled systems) to operate. Designed for basic laboratory applications, they are easy to use and can be easily modified for multiple experiments. Both GM and Pulse Tube technology models are available.

The Optistat AC-V12 and 14 are 4K pulse tube cryostats, producing temperatures as low as 3K without the use of displacers. Because there are no displacers, there are no displacer seals, no moving cold parts, and almost no vibration, this leads to higher reliability and longer mean time between maintenance than what is currently available in other 4.2K Cryorefrigerators. They are excellent platforms for cryogen-free mK systems.
